Diagnostic Testing

Teachers in Kuwaiti schools take notes about students’ writing abilities and participation in class, both of which can be indicative of reading difficulties. These notes are used to identify students who could benefit from additional support in reading.

Instruction for Children with Reading Difficulties

Students with reading difficulties enroll in remedial programs administered by the class teacher. Supplementary classes address language deficiencies and reading difficulties using supplementary reading materials and language exercises. The free reading technique also is used to help students with reading difficulties.
