Use and Impact of PIRLS

Poland has participated in PIRLS since 2006. After each wave of research, a national detailed report was prepared and presented at a press conference in Warsaw with Ministry of Education officials. The report was sent to all schools that participated in data collection and published on the Internet. There have been general discussions in the media, but the PIRLS assessments have elicited no specific actions from school governing agencies.
